LITHUANIAN SOCIETY OF PULMONOLOGY AND ALLERGY is a social organization unifying different doctors of adults and children: pulmonologists, allergists, clinical immunologists, phtysiatricians and other specialists of medicine as well as scientists working in the field of pulmonary, allergy diseases and immunology.
The constituent assembly of the association was held in Kaunas on the 20 November 2002. During the assembly meeting the regulations of the association were set, board of directors was determined. Twenty members of the association took part in the constituent assembly. Today the association comprises 300 different specialists of medicine from the whole Lithuania. From the moment of its establishment, the members and board of the organization undertook the tasks that include the organization of conferences for pulmonologists, allergists, clinical immunologists, general practitioners, thorax surgeons, phtysiatricians, internists, oncologists. During the conferences the newest information about the diagnostics and treatment of pulmonary, allergy and disordered immunity caused diseases is presented, the most famous Lithuanian and foreign scientists and professionals share their experience and knowledge. In the nearest future the association is going to expand by involving its members into the active undertaking of tasks related to pulmonary, allergy diseases and clinical immunology, as well as developing international cooperation.

THE OBJECTIVE OF LITHUANIAN SOCIETY OF PULMONOLOGY AND ALLERGY is to organize, enhance and coordinate the activity of doctors specializing in the treatment of pulmonary, allergy diseases and clinical immunology of adults and children.
